Yancey Marketing gave away $25,000 to one lucky Perkins® Restaurant customer in the original
Yancey Marketing promotion, Perkins Scramblers Sweepstakes. This promotion ran nationally across the US, and in select Canadian cities. The response was tremendous. Several thousand people collected the 5 required gamepieces to spell "Scramblers" and entered the contest.

February 2007

This year’s big game had the biggest return of all for 6 local CBS television affiliates in Baton Rouge, Birmingham, Cape Girardeau, Colorado Springs, Grand Rapids, and the game host city of Miami. The Yancey Marketing “Big Return Sweepstakes™” not only delivered huge additional revenue to each station, but a new automobile as well! Over $175,000 worth of autos in total were purchased from local auto sponsors in The Big Return Sweepstakes, when Devin Hester of Chicago ran back the opening kickoff of the big game 92 yards for a touchdown!

The Big Return Sweepstakes offers and awards prizesfor any “big return” play (kickoff, punt, interception, fumble) that results in a touchdown. Richard Yancey, Yancey's VP of Marketing, who has run this contest of over 15 years, is quoted as saying, “This has to be the most successful local TV football contest ever!”
